Small guys mask final and more puppet practice

I perfected the small guy's mask same as I did with the big guy. I made the colours more friendly on this one as he is the 'chased' one and is the good guy:

I also did a puppet test of moving the arms with the big guy. I only made a rough shape of half the body. The fragments consist of a head, body, 2 shoulders, 2 arms made up of a upper and lower part:

Big guy mask change and scenery style

I've changed the big guy's mask and finalized on a colour scheme for it. Instead of the mask being egg shaped I made it much more round as it fits on the head better. His eyes are now red in a dark shadow instead of seeing skin. The colour scheme now is a lot more dark and moody to bring out a more scary and evil theme to the character:

I also now have a set style on the scenery for the animation following the spiky cut out feel simple using the polygon tool from Photoshop. Here is the first scene where the small character jumps into the camera:

Puppets, practice and run cycle

I have made some more crudely drawn practices at puppets in After Effects. I have also finally made the run cycle for the small character. It will need tweaking but it was good to make a smooth cycle:

Practising animation

Colours, layers and scenery

More final ideas for the colours of the big guy's mask:

A practise layered Photoshop scene showing how I'll set up the layers for the whole animation and addressing ideas for the colour scheme again:

Stickman running with camera movement

Here I've added a camera to the scene through after effects to show how it would work on the running cycle:

Running Cycle

I made a 2D stickman running cycle on flash so i had something to reference for the final 2D cutout character:

This version is a bit faster than the other but now comparing them it seems i may of taken a bit too many frames:
